To enter the Sylvan Lake Triathlon event using EventsOnline.ca please follow these steps:

  1. Type your name and other information into the form below and click on the submit button.
  2. Use your Visa or Mastercard credit card to pay for your entry. The transaction will be processed securely in Canadian dollars.
  3. Once you have successfully paid for your entry your information will automatically be added to the event database and the the Eventsonline.ca confirmation page for the event will be updated. Depending on your Internet connection, this process may take about 16 seconds. During this time do not click your Browser's back button or stop button.

  • Notes:

    1. - Race Day Insurance will be collected by a member of ATA at package pickup. You will not pay when registering for the event, either online or paper, so you must have your ATA/TRIBC card with you or $15 for your day of race insurance.
    2. - PHOTO ID IS REQUIRED AT PACKAGE PICK UP. If you do not have picture ID you will not be able to race.
    3. - No Transferring or selling of entries

    5. - New Sylvan Lake Triathlon Rollover Policy for 2012
    6. - Wristband printed with your race number will be affixed to your wrist at Athlete Check-in. This band will identify you as an official participant and must be worn during the entire event. The wristband is required for medical identification purposes and allows you access to the transition area and post-race food. You will not be allowed to remove your bicycle and gear from the transition area following the race without your wristband affixed to your wrist. Please do not remove your wristband until after you have picked up your bike and race gear from transition!

RELEASE WAIVER AND INDEMNITY

ALL ATHLETES: PLEASE READ CAREFULLY AND SIGN,

I acknowledge that the Sylvan Lake Half Ironman Event is an extreme test of a person's physical and mental limits and carries with it the potential for death, serious injury, and property loss. I HEREBY ASSUME THE RISKS OF PARTICIPATING IN THE SYLVAN LAKE HALF IRONMAN TRIATHLON EVENT. I certify that I am physically fit, have sufficiently trained for participation in this event, and have not been advised against participation by a qualified health professional. I acknowledge that the various race sponsors, organizers and administrators, permitting me to participate in the Sylvan Lake Half Ironman Event, accept my statements on this release waiver. In consideration for allowing me to participate in the Sylvan Lake Half Ironman Event, I hereby take the following action for executor’s administrator’s heirs next of kin successors assigns and myself:

a) I WAIVE, RELEASE, AND DISCHARGE from any and all claims or liabilities for death, personal injury, property damage, theft or damages of any kind, which arise out of or relate to my participation in, or my traveling to and from the Sylvan Lake Half Ironman Event THE FOLLOWING PERSONS OR ENTITIES: Sylvan Lake Triathlon, Alberta Triathlon Association, Friends of Sylvan Lake, Town of Sylvan Lake, Alberta Transportation and Highways, Leduc County, Red Deer County, event sponsors, event directors, event producers, volunteers, all venues in which events or segments of events are held, and the officers, directors, employees, representatives and agents of any of the above

b) I AGREE NOT TO SUE any of the persons or entities mentioned above for any of the claims or liabilities that I have waived, released or discharged herein and

c) I INDEMNIFY AND HOLD HARMLESS the persons or entities mentioned above from any claims made or liabilities assessed against them as a result of my actions during this Sylvan Lake Half Ironman Event. I hereby agree that in the event of the event cancellation due to a storm, rain, winds, inclement weather, or other "Acts of God" conditions, my registration fee shall not be refunded. I hereby grant full permission to any and all of the foregoing to use any photographs, motion pictures, videotapes, recordings or any other record of this event for any purpose including commercial use. I understand that my email address and contact information will be shared with the Official Event Photographer.

I HEREBY AFFIRM THAT I AM NINETEEN (19) YEARS OF AGE OR OLDER, I HAVE READ THIS DOCUMENT, AND I UNDERSTAND ITS CONTENTS. I ACKNOWLEDGE THAT I AM RESPONSIBLE FOR THE ROADWORTHINESS AND CORRECT OPERATION OF MY BICYCLE. I AM AWARE THAT ALL ATHLETES MUST SHOW A PICTURE ID AT CHECK-IN.
